Gigantes 2, Dodgers 0: Our beloved Gigantes finished off a three-game spanking of the Dodgers Sunday behind a fine pitching performance from Big Daddy Cain in SF. The Gigantes showed they have what it takes to win the division during this series, scoring when they needed to (a 6-5 nail biter on Friday) and holding the Dodgers to one run in the final two games of the series. Some highlights: Huff Daddy hit a big homerun in the first game of the series, Pat Burrell came through with a two-run homer in the eighth in the second game, Timmy has changed his delivery (resulting in seven innings of two-run ball Friday), Zito’s clone is pitching great, Edgar Renteria continues to hit (surely one of the biggest surprises this season), and Big Daddy Cain earned his first career win against the Dodgers…The Gigantes are 1.5 games behind the Stinky Pads for the division lead and lead the Wild Card race by two games. WE BELIEVE GIGANTES!
